Our Story
Hello, I'm Erin. (Aka Fairy Erin.)
I am an Aussie actor, writer and horse trainer. Growing up neurodivergent I often found myself in dazzling fantasy worlds of imagination. And when lockdown hit in 2022 I found myself there once again, writing fairy stories and songs about all the mini ponies around me. I founded Piccolo Ponies in 2022 to share my fantasy world with children, transporting them to the magical fairyland of Piccolo Ponies.
The shows I have written and performed primarily feature two characters, the bubbly Fairy Erin and her magical companion, Unicorn Piccolo (realised on stage by my real miniature pony, Piccolo). I have shared our musical show with various pre and primary schools across Australia, performed at countless children’s events, and conducted voluntary equine-assisted therapy visits at nursing homes and hospitals.
Our content has been promoted in Highlife Magazine, performed for sold-out crowds at the Sydney Fringe Festival and most recently featured on Network Ten’s morning talk show Studio 10, where we discussed our work with children’s entertainment, equine-assisted therapy and demonstrated Piccolo’s various tricks.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts and am pursuing a Master’s in education. Connecting with young people and educating them through fantasy, imagination and play is at the core of what I am passionate about.

Piccolo Ponies offers myriad services including Live performances for children, voluntary pony therapy sessions at nursing homes and hospitals and sharing our content for children online. I am currently working on a children's book series.
I trained Piccolo myself using natural horsemanship and positive reinforcement clicker training. Piccolo is my best friend and although he stands at only 80 cm, this 7 year old miniature pony is not short on personality!
